Integrating Foursquare with WordPress

September 21, 2012

I’m always searching for new ways to populate my blog with some content that do not require me to click the ‘new post’ button, and today I tried a smart plugin that tap into the power of Foursquare and Nokia Maps.

WP Quadratum from Gary Gale is and interesting plugin that required me to subscribe as a Nokia developer and publish an application on Foursquare, and it was a lot of fun!

Best of all the installation and configuration process is very well documented and worked on the spot.

I’ll use it in a page of the blog to show where I’ve done my last check-in

Thanks for the nice write up. I’m glad you’re using the plugin (and enjoyed the installation process into the bargain!).

One point of note. Signing up for Nokia maps credentials is only needed if you want to use Nokia’s maps to visualise your check-ins. If you want to use another mapping provider (and I can see you’re using Google’s maps) then this isn’t needed or required.

Once again, thanks for the kind words.
