I’m doing some modification to blog theme.

1) Solved permission issues to publish sitemaps using Filezilla
2) Verified Google+ profile and linked to blog
3) Updated Child theme to insert author name and Bio in the footer (still a work-in-progress)

Despite the blog being hosted on Windows Azure Sites, the 1 click upgrade to version 3.5 (performed on iPad through the WP App) worked flawlessly.

Not only that, but now I have access to the format post tupes of the shelf themes that where not available in conjunction with previous WP version. That’s great.

I still have some issues with plugin updates after having secured a bit too much the installation. I have to figure out out how to reser permissions on /plugins folder using some iPad App and I’ll be fine.

Next time I’ll avoid to test security plugin in production…

I’m always searching for new ways to populate my blog with some content that do not require me to click the ‘new post’ button, and today I tried a smart plugin that tap into the power of Foursquare and Nokia Maps.

WP Quadratum from Gary Gale is and interesting plugin that required me to subscribe as a Nokia developer and publish an application on Foursquare, and it was a lot of fun!

Best of all the installation and configuration process is very well documented and worked on the spot.

I’ll use it in a page of the blog to show where I’ve done my last check-in

Last night I was passing by Torre Cerrano and I took the time to grab a foto using my old Canon that I had in my backpack. I guess is the perfect symbol of the my last summer days in Abruzzo. If everything goes as planned I’ll be in Milan on Sunday and leaving for London on Monday. One week trip between UK and Ireland with a lot of people to met and a number of meeting to attend.

I’ll use this very trip to test the new blog template and see if it can cope with image and video posting from various devices and services.

And I’ll move this photo as the background of my latest Lumia phone at least as long I’ll stay away from my region.
